This policy explains what Face to Face Psychiatry collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. It covers the website only. Health information created when you become a patient is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
This website is not for emergencies. Nothing here is monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Our appointment request forms ask for your first and last name, phone number, email address, which service you are interested in, whether you prefer an in-office or telehealth visit, and an optional free-text message. You choose what to put in that box.
Please do not send detailed medical information through the website. The forms are for scheduling. Our forms carry this warning, and we ask you to keep any message brief. Sensitive clinical details belong in your appointment, where they are protected.
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is performing.
We do not run analytics on this website, and we do not set any cookies of our own. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no visitor profiling.
The only third party that may set a cookie is Google, and only if you load the map on our contact page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working normally either way.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers or share website data with advertising networks.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and only to the extent they need it:
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of a person where the law permits or requires it.
Appointment requests are kept only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a patient, are folded into your clinical record and retained under the record-retention rules that apply to Florida healthcare providers. Server logs are kept only briefly by our host. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold.
This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and email in particular is not a secure channel — which is why we ask you not to send clinical detail through it.
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information through it. We do treat preteens and teens as patients; in that case a parent or legal guardian is involved and the information is handled under HIPAA, not this policy. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.
Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for how to honour them.
We link to outside sites, including our Psychology Today profile and Google Maps. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies and the other site's terms govern.
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page.
