Accessibility Statement

Face to Face Psychiatry wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or who need reduced motion. We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

• Every page uses a single, meaningful page heading and a logical heading order
• All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard, including the services menu, which opens on click and closes with Esc
• Body text is set against backgrounds chosen to meet contrast requirements
• Form fields have visible, permanently associated labels — not placeholder text standing in for a label
• Animations and scroll effects are switched off automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion
• Text reflows and remains readable when zoomed or viewed on a small screen
• Link purpose is clear from the link text

Known limitations

We are honest about the gaps we know of:

• The embedded Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component and we do not control its accessibility. The same address and directions are available as plain text, and you can always call the office instead.
• Our Psychology Today profile is an external site with its own accessibility practices.

If something does not work for you

Please tell us. Accessibility problems are treated as bugs, and knowing about one is the only way it gets fixed. Contact us with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, and we will respond and work with you to get the information another way in the meantime.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review the site as it changes and welcome feedback that helps us improve it.
