Do you take my insurance?
We currently accept Aetna, Ascension (SmartHealth), Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna,
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania,
Providence Health Plan, Medicaid and Medicare, plus out-of-network. If your plan isn't on
that list, say so when you call — Richard is credentialed with most insurers and can get
credentialed with yours.

Do you do home visits?
Yes — for every service we offer, not just a few. Richard sees patients at home across
Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay and the surrounding Miami-Dade area: psychiatric evaluations and
medication management, therapy, family medicine, weight loss and GLP-1 care, hormone
therapy and Botox. It is booked like any other appointment — just say you'd like to be seen
at home. More on house calls →
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available to patients located anywhere in Florida, and
most medication management and therapy visits work well that way. Anything that needs to be
done in person — a physical exam, lab work, Botox — can happen either in the Cutler Bay
office or on a home visit.
How soon can I get an appointment?
Appointments are available most weekdays and in the evenings. The schedule is kept small
on purpose, so follow-ups don't get pushed out a month.
Can you prescribe Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro?
When it is clinically appropriate, yes. GLP-1 medications are prescribed after a proper
medical evaluation that includes your history, your current medications and lab work. Not
everyone is a candidate, and we will tell you plainly if you are not.
Do you treat adolescents?
Yes. We see preteens, teens, adults and elders (65+), as individuals, couples or
families. A parent or legal guardian needs to be involved for patients under 18.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A photo ID, your insurance card if you're using insurance, a list of every medication and
supplement you take, and any recent lab results or records from a previous provider. If you
don't have all of it, come anyway — we'll work with what you've got.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. Your visits are protected health information under HIPAA. The narrow exceptions are
the ones every licensed provider is legally bound by — situations involving imminent danger
to you or someone else, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult.
What does a visit cost if I have no insurance?
The self-pay rate is $90 for your initial session and $68 for follow-up visits — well
below the standard $250 / $150. A sliding scale is available on top of that if you may be
eligible. We can also order medications in cost-effective ways to keep your out-of-pocket
costs down.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Richard speaks and writes both English and Spanish fluently, so your appointment can
be conducted entirely in either language.
Where are the offices?
There are two — the primary office in Cutler Bay (33189) and a second in Palmetto Bay
(33157). Patients also come from Miami, Homestead, Kendall and Pinecrest, and telehealth is
available anywhere in Florida.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
Please don't wait for an appointment. Call or text 988 for the Suicide &
Crisis Lifeline, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. This website and our
appointment form are not monitored for emergencies.
